Two local school boys showed grit and determination this past Sunday morning, braving heavy rain, to enjoy a memorable day of fishing. The pair put their angling skills to the test at Thatchfeild Dam and were well rewarded. Despite being drenched in the rain and using plain old brown bread, Uzair Abdulla of Celtic Manor proudly reeled in a massive 8kg koi, while Ihsan Osman of Raslouw Gardens pulled in a 5kg carp, making it an awesome outing for the young anglers. The duo was accompanied by their friend, Zidaan who joined them on the day and said that the rainy conditions added ‘spice’ to their fishing experience.
