Diesel set to increase by 82c

The Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy, Mr Gwede Mantashe, has announced the adjustment of fuel prices that will come into effect from the 3rd of December 2025. The adjustments are based on a number of current local and international factors.

Take note of the following changes;

  • Petrol 93 (ULP & LRP): increase of 29 cents per litre.
  • Petrol 95 (ULP & LRP): increase of 29 cents per litre.
  • Diesel 0.05% (wholesale): increase of 65 cents per litre.
  • Diesel 0.005% (wholesale): increase of 82 cents per litre.
  • Illuminating Paraffin (Wholesale): increase of 74 cents per litre.
  • LPGAS: increase of 24 cents per kg.

The main reasons for the adjustments, according to the Minister, are the crude oil prices, international petroleum product prices, the Rand/US Dollar exchange rate and the implementation of the slate levy.
