Football unites the world! Football is fun!Football is joy! Every four years the world comes together to crown the Kings of Football and to lift the holy grail and the bragging rights for the next four years.

Fans are the football festival. Singing and playing the drums are part of the festivities. They are dressed in their national colours, faces painted with their countries flags wearing sombreros, fez and kaffiyehs, a headdress adorned predominantly by Arabs. Goals and penalties were met with cheers and jeers, fury and frenzy, ecstacy and agony, joy and tears. We had a four week football feast and now we come to the main course and dessert. The poor and the rich together will unite to watch this global event on the 18th December, at the Lusail Iconic Stadium. Which country will have the right to say “We came, we saw, we played and we conquered the FIFA World Cup22”. Qatar can proudly say “Yes we did it.” No matter what the outcome of the results, it will be a momentous occasion for the African continent and Arab Nations

*The Laudium Sun & Glow TV will be in Qatar for the finals between Argentina and France, on December 18… may the best team win.

Down memory lane. Mohammed Zaheer, Waheeda and Yunus Abdulla mingle with Spanish fans at the World Cup Finals at the FNB Stadium (July 2010).
As the World Cup in Qatar comes to a close… Dr Yunus Abdulla shows his tickets of previous World Cups.
Dr Yunus Abdulla had praises for the Moroccon team, which made it to the semi-finals, but unfortunately lost to France 0-2.
