At the time of going to press last night, the Laudium Sun recieved the tragic news that local resident, Khaleel Gani (Golpie) who was allegedly shot by Suliman Aboo (Chaya) last Monday in Erasmia, has passed on. Khaleel was receiving treatment at the Kalafong Hospital after sustaining bullet wounds during the shooting incident.
This follows an incident early Monday morning, at around 8am, when Suliman and his son, together with a friend, were in a car chase with Khaleel, who was in the company of Suliman’s wife, Afshin. Shots were apparently fired by Suliman at Khaleel’s car which came to a halt on Barbara Coetzer Str in Erasmia. Both Suliman and his wife claimed that Khaleel had kidnapped Afshin. Suliman & his wife Afshin were close friends with Khaleel & were often seen hanging out together at public venues.
