Food for thought
Once you have prepared for you exams, think positively and believe that you are ready to do your best.
Study tips for our super kids
- Study a little bit every day… try not to cram all at once.
- Use color… highlight important words and draw pictures to remember things.
- Say it out loud…reading your notes aloud is said to help your brain remember better.
- Take a break… study for 30 minutes, then take a short break.
- Ask, ask, ask… Don’t be shy to ask your teacher, mum or dad for help if you don’t understand something.
- Snack on fruit, nuts and yoghurt and drink enough water. Avoid chips, sweets and sodas.
- Sleep well… your brain needs rest, so try to sleep 8-10 hours each night.
- Do not skip breakfast… A good breakfast including eggs, oats, juice and toast are good options.
- Stay calm…if you feel a little nervous, take a deep breath and remind yourself “I can do this”…
