LCSA’s golden gem shines on her 93rd birthday

There was no shortage of smiles and sweet wishes at the Laudium Care Services for the Aged (LCSA) centre this week, as the 93rd birthday of Aunty Kasie Jivan, the centre’s oldest and most cherished senior member, was celebrated. Born on October 29, 1932, Aunty Kasie has been a proud part of the LCSA family since the centre began its senior activities in 2012. Over the years, she’s become a beacon of love, laughter and resilience for everyone who walks through the centre’s doors. Known for being cheerful, sharp-witted and full of life, Aunty Kasie is well known for bringing warmth and a vibrant energy to every gathering. After her husband passed on in 1965, she worked hard and never gave up, as she raised her five children. Today, her growing family includes 15 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Through crafts, exercise and most importantly, friendship, Aunty Kasie has found a second family in the senior’s group and they in her. The Laudium Sun joins the LCSA team in wishing Aunty Kasie many happy returns. “May the Almighty continue to bless you with good health & happiness.”
