What a star… and for scaling the heights of academic excellence during 2025, Muhammed Sa’ad Khan (Central Islamic School) secured 8 distinctions in; English Home Language, Afrikaans First Additional Language, Arabic Second Additional Language, Mathematics, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences, Accounting and Life Orientation, obtaining an astounding aggregate of 91%. Muhammed Sa’ad told the Laudium Sun, “Alhamdulillah, I am deeply grateful to the Almighty for His guidance and countless blessings, which have enabled me to achieve these results. I am sincerely thankful to my parents, the CIS family, my tutors and friends for their continuous support and guidance throughout my schooling journey. I am currently considering my options regarding my studies based on the responses I receive from universities. I hope to continue seeking knowledge and applying it for the benefit of my community.”
There was little stopping Yumna Kader (Tshwane Muslim School), during the recent Matric exams, with the top Matric achiever scoring not 1, not 5, not 7, but an extraordinary 9 distinctions in; English Home Language, Afrikaans First Additional Language, Arabic Second Additional Language, Urdu Second Additional Language, Mathematics Accounting, Life Sciences, Physical Sciences and Life Orientation. The daughter of Attorney, Sheik Muhammad Kader and Shakera Kader of Erasmia, Yumna obtained a phenomenal, fabulously earned 90,33% aggregate. Yumna told the Laudium Sun, “I must first thank the Almighty, through Whose grace and mercy I was able to achieve this milestone. I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all my teachers for their tireless efforts. I also thank my parents, siblings and loved ones for always providing me with their continuous support. To the class of 2025: Congrats! We laughed, we almost cried and we’ve finally made it to the end of the line. It’s up to us what happens now. I plan to study BCom Informatics at Tuks, as I have a keen interest in commerce, programming and coding. I wish all my peers everything of the best going forward.”
