Mother – quite simply, there can be no other. While we know that not a day should pass without our mothers being reminded of how precious they are and what a valuable role they play in our lives, we also know that such acknowledgement does not happen as often as it should… hence Mother’s Day – when the spotlight shines just a little brighter on the women who hold our families together, with such strength and grace. We often forget that a mother wears many titles… nurse, chef, teacher, therapist, prayer-warrior and peacekeeper amongst many others. Her efforts are hardly praised, yet she is there day-after-day with arms wide open. Mother’s Day gives us the opportunity to say what we should be saying to our mothers every day… THANK YOU! This Sunday, let mom be spoiled, pleasantly surprised, serenaded and treated, at the very least, to an ultra-special breakfast in bed. The Laudium Sun joins the Chinsamy family in wishing every mother, grandmother and mother-figure a wonderful Mother’s Day this Sunday (May 11), filled with rest, smiles and many warm hugs. And… lets all agree, the kitchen is officially closed to mom on Sunday. No pots, no pans, just time to unwind, relax, forget the kitchen and enjoy the pampering. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!

*Let us also remember, through prayer, all mothers who have left this world… we miss them so much.
