“The White Chariot by Julie Johnson During your journey on your final flight homes White wings will carry you and you will be flown. To the pearly gates of Heaven, where they will usher you in. To the feet of your Lord, your savior and your friend. He will hold you in his arms and the angels will sing. As another one of His children is delivered by White wings.”

Jayantabhen Jasmat (82)

Husband: The late Hirabhai Jasmat.
Children: Harshik, Bhavna & Avnish Jasmat.
Grandchildren: Shekha, Nikhil, Saurav & Jiya.
“Jayantabhen was born in Johannesburg in 1943 into a loving family with eight brothers and sisters. For a number of years, she was a teacher in the Bhalmandir in Johannesburg with Jayabhen Kantilal. After marrying Hirabhai, she moved to Pretoria where she again taught at the Shree Pretoria Hindu Seva Samaj Bhalmandir where she was influential in many young lives, including those that are still part of the Laudium community today.
She was also one of the founding members of the Bharatiya Stree Mandal which was and still is involved in many cultural and charitable activities. After many years of teaching, she devoted her time to raising her three children and four grandchildren. In later life she became an active member of the Art of Living Foundation and the Laudium Senior Citizens club. Jayatabhen will be remembered for her loving smile, her strong devotion to her Hindu faith and the many lives she touched. Her passing will leave a huge void for her family, but the love and support already received has been a huge comfort. May Jayantabhen’s soul rest in peace and her memory live long in all those who loved and knew her.”
