For local lads, Abdul Hakeem Mokwebo and Zidaan Mohamed, the dream of becoming pro-football players is driving their dedication on the field. The boys attend Al Ghazali College, but play for different clubs, RH Pro and Laudium FC respectively, with Abdul Hakeem showcasing his skills as a left-winger, while Zidaan controls play from the midfield. The pair agree that hard work, discipline and practice are essential, if they want to achieve the highest levels of football, adding that one of their biggest motivations is to make their parents proud and when success comes their way, ensure that their parents are well looked after. The youngsters also draw inspiration from Prophet Muhammed (PBUH), whose teachings and example encourage them, amongst others, to remain respectful, humble and dedicated in everything they do…wonderful qualities needed to pursue their dreams.
