For enthusiastic anglers, Kishan Pillay and Sheldon Arnechellan of Lotus Gardens, the
recent Easter Weekend was a time of excitement and rewards at Eagles Waters,
Hartebeestpoort Dam. Over the course of their fishing trip, the duo managed to land an
impressive total of 4 carp, a bass and a small creeper… but it was the size of tow of those
catches that made their trip. A massive 9kg carp and a solid 7kg bass turned the
atmosphere electric. The pair told the Laudium Sun that simple bait choices of garlic
and worms worked wonders for them.
