Three generations… one bond Mom & mom: This Sunday is your day

A mother’s love is one of life’s greatest blessings… gentle enough to comfort, strong enough to guide and timeless enough to live on through generations. This Sunday (May 10), we celebrate the strength, sacrifice and wisdom passed down for generations…a beautiful legacy of love that continues to shape families. To every great grandmother, grandmother, mother and mother-figure, thank you for being the heartbeat of our homes
and the light of our communities… may your hearts always be filled with+ happiness and precious moments. Pictured: three generations… Amara Mooloo (left-daughter) Lushika Mooloo (right – mother) and Feroza Mooloo (center – grandmother) told the Laudium Sun, “Mother’s Day is every day because the presence of a mother does not exist inmoments; it lives in every sacrifice, every lesson, every silent prayer, and every act of love that shapes who we become. To every mother, every nurturer, every woman who pours herself into the lives of her children and family – your impact is immeasurable. You are the silent force behind every thriving family, every grounded child and every hopeful future. To the single mothers – yours is a journey defined by courage and unbreakable resolve. You rise when exhausted and you give when empty. Your tenacity is not just admirable – it is extraordinary. You are the embodiment of strength in its purest form.” . The Laudium Sun joins three generations of the Mooloo family in wishing all mothers a peaceful, blessed and joyful Mother’s Day this Sunday. HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!!! Let us also remember, through prayer, all mothers who have left this world… we really miss them.

Mother’s Day messages from the community

With love and honour, Pastor Kevin Naicker of the Bethesda Revival Church:
“This Mother’s Day, we honour and celebrate the extraordinary women who embody resilience, carry a courageous spirit, and nurture with a warm and selfless heart. Mothers are the silent pillars of strength in our homes and communities. Through every challenge, they rise with grace. Through every storm, they stand with courage. And in every season, they love unconditionally. Your sacrifices do not go unseen. Your prayers do not go unheard. Your love continues to shape generations and build a legacy that reaches far beyond what words can express. Today, we say thank you for your strength, your faith, and your unwavering devotion. May you be refreshed, uplifted, and reminded of how deeply you are valued and appreciated. May God bless every mother with renewed strength, abundant joy, and overflowing peace. Happy Mother’s Day!”

Our Mother is the rock of our foundation. We appreciate our mother because of everything she gives—often without expecting anything in return. Her role goes far beyond just raising us, she shaped us into who we become. We appreciate her for her love, the kind that is constant, even on our worst days. For her sacrifices things she goes without so we can have more. For her strength holding everything together when life feels like it’s falling apart.
For her guidance the life lessons teaching us right from wrong, even when we didn’t want
to listen. For her patience repeating lessons, forgiving mistakes, and never giving up on us. For her presence just knowing she’s there makes life feel a little safer. Our mother is our first home, our first teacher, and our forever support system. Our mother is our “iron lady” because of the strength she carries—often quietly, without asking for it. She becomes strong through everything she faces. The sacrifices she makes, putting her children first even when she has nothing left for herself. The way she holds our family together when things fall apart. The recognition resilience she shows when life is unfair, yet she still wakes up and shows up every day. Thank you to the Almighty for blessing us with this strong woman… Our Mother, our Iron Lady, our Pillar of Strength.”
