There has still been no word after local resident, Ali Amjad (58) a philanthropist & owner of Alis Electronics was kidnapped this past Tuesday afternoon (May 27).

According to reports, a gang of armed thugs rammed their car into Ali’s car, in Pretoria West. Ali was then forcibly taken away by the armed gang. The gang is believed to have burnt their Mercedes Benz, which they used to ram into Ali’s car, to wipe off all evidence. The Mercedes Benz numberplate is ‘HMD 511 NW’ Ali who previously lived in Laudium and moved to the nearby private security estate of Eldoglen for security reasons, has an electronics wholesaler business in Pretoria West.

*Police have asked the public to be on the lookout for a damaged grey BMW X5 registration ‘ZGZ 741 GP,’ which is believed to be Ali’s car.
**An attempted hijacking took place on Tuesday evening (May 27) at around 6:30pm in Raslouw, A female was driving on Lochner Road, just off the R55 (between the river and Erasmus Avenue), when a vehicle with 4 thugs in it pulled up next to her car. It is believed that the thugs then tried to block the female driver and 2 thugs whose faces were covered jumped out and rushed to both sides of her car door, trying to open the doors. At the time, a motorbike passed by, which alarmed the thugs who then ran back into the waiting car, which then drove away.
