I write today paying tribute to my beloved husband, Rehaan. We were blessed to share our life, however short it was. I am still in shock and disbelief. I miss him so much.
As Muslims we trust in our CREATOR and we depend absolutely on HIS love and care for us. Almighty’s plans prevail.
I met and married Rehaan but a few short years ago. What a wonderful man, what an awesome husband, my best friend. Rehaan was the kind of person who always put others’ needs before his own, irrespective of his own responsibilities, be it work or family. He did this with so much patience and care.
In the very recent past, he was a pillar of strength to his family, especially his dear mother, with the sad passing of his father. Rehaan taught me the importance of family. He would do anything for his family. He exhibited the same qualities when it came to his wide circle of friends. Rehaan had huge presence wherever he went and he had a very warm and gentle disposition.
Despite the very limited physical contact he had with my entire family in Cape Town, they are all devastated as they held him in such high regard.
This is a massive loss for me, and his mother, and the entire family.
My life with Rehaan is forever etched in my heart and mind.
May the Almighty bless him with peace and comfort and grant him Jannatul Firdous. Ameen.
A very heartfelt Thank You to all those who expressed their condolences.
– Your loving wife, Malikah
