Youth Day 2023 | Messages from the community…

  • by
Brandon Naicker (34) of Erasmia, (Bethesda Revival Church BRC Youth Leader):
“Inspiring and making an impact should be the cornerstone foundation of our being. Nelson Mandela once said, “The Youth of today are the leaders of tomorrow. “My personal passion has always been to invest and make an impact on the young adults of our community. For the many blessings in my life, my thanksgiving to God, my family and community is empowering the lives of all youth I come in contact with. Youth have the power to bring about positive change, change that impacts on the lives of their families and communities. It’s about sharing a vision for a brighter tomorrow, ideologies and goals. My only desire is to help youth understand their power and enhance untapped potential. One does not have the power to change the world, but doing small things in a big way can cause a ripple effect. In commemoration of June 16, we celebrate all young adults, and we acknowledge and appreciate our youth. We celebrate you. Serving as youth leader at Bethesda Revival Church has been my greatest honour, and I will continue to do so with pride. Matthew 6:21 says, “For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also,” and my mine is in BRC Youth Club.”
Jazmin Singh (22) of Gamdeboo Crescent, Lotus Gardens. (Studies at Atteridgeville) doing a Learner -ship in communication in English:
“May the youth of each and every nation stay grounded, motivated and focused in life and work towards the progress of the nation. Happy Youth Day. To the heroes of tomorrow, to the energies that will define the future…. Wishing a very warm and Happy National Youth Day to you.”

Tinisha Moodley (17) of Proclamation Hill, Pretoria West, (Jesus Praise Ministry Youth Club):
“The youth are the backbone of our society. The youth are the driving force behind progress and innovation. They bring fresh ideas, new perspectives, and boundless energy to the table. It’s up to us to nurture and cultivate these qualities, to provide them with the guidance and support they need to succeed, and to empower them to make a positive impact on the world. We must invest in their education, their health, and their well- being, and create opportunities for them to develop their skills and talents. By doing so, we can create a brighter future for all, and ensure that the next generation has the tools they need to thrive. Us being the youth of this generation is the next hope for a better future. We are the ones who will inherit the world we leave behind, and it’s up to us to ensure that we leave it in good hands. We must work together to empower them, to give the next generation the tools and resources they need to succeed, and to create opportunities for them to make a positive impact on the world. Let’s work together to build a world that we can all be proud of.”
Marisca Henry (24) and Mishca (21) of Lotus Gardens, (Jesus Praise Ministry Youth Club):
“Happy Youth Day. I can’t help but remember those who fought and lost their lives in the struggle for the freedom we enjoy today. There are no limits to what we can achieve. Once we believe that God has a plan and purpose for us we will be excited about our future. Let nothing stop you from going after what you want. Let your voice be heard. Refuse to let it be silenced by hopelessness. Here’s to us making a difference. God bless you.”
Kyra Rolante’ Moodley (16) of 12th Ave, Laudium, (Bethesda Revival Church BRC Youth Club):

“Today, we celebrate the dreams, aspirations, and achievements of young people everywhere. Your unique perspectives and fresh ideas are invaluable assets for building a brighter future. The energy, creativity, and passion of young people have the power to transform societies. Use your talents and skills to create a positive change, and let your actions inspire others. Youth is the time to dream big, take risks, and embrace challenges. Don’t be afraid to fail because each failure is a stepping stone towards success. Keep pushing your boundaries and striving for greatness. Youth Day serves as a reminder that you are not just the leaders of tomorrow, but also the change makers of today. Believe in yourself, stand up for what you believe in, and create a future you’re proud of. Youth is not just a phase of life; it’s a mind-set filled with curiosity, innovation, and fearlessness. May you continue to explore, learn, and grow on this Youth Day and beyond. To the young generation, you are the architects of the future. Embrace your dreams, chase your goals, and make a positive impact on the world. Remember that every great achievement started with a dream.
