They may not leap over tall buildings. They may not have superpowers. But somehow, they always know how to fix a leaking pipe, find the missing remote control, offer advice when needed most and help to navigate life’s challenges. Yes, this Sunday (June 21) is a special day dedicated to celebrating the man many affectionately call, ‘the head of the household’… Dad. While times have changed and many mothers today share the responsibility of providing for their families, fathers continue to play a vital role as guides, protectors, mentors and pillars of strength within the home. Father’s Day, is an opportunity to pause and acknowledge the sacrifices, wisdom and support that fathers and father figures provide throughout the year. So children, as you carry on the traditions of Father’s Day… whether it is breakfast in bed, a thoughtful gift, a handmade card or a big warm hug… take time to remind Dad just how much he means to you. Let him know that his efforts are appreciated and that the lessons he teaches continue to make a difference.
This Father’s Day is also special for our highly respected community leader, Pastor Kevin Naicker, who celebrated his 61st birthday this week. It was a double dedication for Pastor Kevin from his family, who extended special birthday and Father’s Day wishes to him. Pastor Naicker has spent many years serving his congregants and the wider community with dedication and compassion, also touching many lives through his Ministry. *As families gather to celebrate Father’s Day, the Laudium Sun wishes all fathers, grandfathers and father figures, a joyous and peaceful day, this Sunday. This past Sunday (June 14) marked a very special occasion for one of the community’s highly respected figures, Pastor Kevin Naicker, who celebrated his 61st birthday.
The Bethesda Revival Church Family had these heartfelt words for the Pastor:
