The streets outside Jesus Praise Ministries in Lotus Gardens came alive recently during Family Fest, a Spirit filled Church gathering which brought together people of all ages for a day filled with faith, fun, competition and connection.
Hosted just outside the church building, the gathering featured music, games, food, worship, fellowship and activities for both the kids and adults. But far more than just entertainment, Family Fest was a bold and powerful reflection as well as expression of The late founding Pastors Mark, Savy & Gopaul Dorasamy the church’s mission; to share the Love of Jesus and create a welcoming space for all. This gathering embodied the heart of Jesus Praise Ministries; relationship over the routine and people over the performance. Especially within the local community.
This year also marks 25 years since the church was first established by the late founding Pastors Gopaul & Savy Dorasamy & followed by their late son Pastor Mark Dorasamy who’s lives lived as a testament of Love. While the legacy of its founders is honoured, the ministry is now led with the same desire & fire for the love of people by Pastors Mervin and Marilyn Henry, with their two daughters actively involved in leading and heading to the call with them.
Through regular food blessings, prayer outreach and many more events to come like this one, the church continues to serve the community – never for recognition but always for His Glory and reach.
