Kids Corner – April ‘26

Hello there dear Kids Corner readers and welcome to this April edition of your favorite column. Thank you for the many entries received. Although only 3 entries can be selected by our team, each entry was beautifully colored and made our decision very difficult. Keep it up guys! South Africa will celebrate Freedom Day on April 27th, the day that marks the anniversary of the first democratic elections held in South Africa in 1994. These elections ended decades of apartheid rule. Dear children, you are the future leaders of our nation, so remember freedom is not just a concept, but a precious gift. It means respecting and embracing the values of unity, diversity and respect for all and upholding the freedom and rights of every individual, regardless of race or background. You are fortunate to have inherited the legacy of those who have fought for freedom and equality in our country, symbolizing the triumph of hope over despair and unity over division. Wishing you all a wonderful and reflective freedom Day on April 27.
Take care… until next time!!

And here we stress chosen winners…as the number of entries we receive each month never ceases to astonish us! It is amazing – and the quality absolutely breathtaking (our judges certainly have their work cut out for them!) We are thrilled!
