Enthusiasm, excitement and team spirit were at an all-time high as Laudium Primary School hosted its annual Interhouse Sports Day for the intermediate and senior phase learners, last Wednesday (February 5).

The school’s three houses—Tornadoes, Hurricanes, and Cyclones—competed in a range of athletic events, showcasing talent, determination, and teamwork. The learners participated in sprints, relays, long jump, and other track-and-field events, all while cheering on their house mates. Spectators filled the sidelines with enthusiastic support, adding to the electrifying atmosphere. Laudium Youth Crime Prevention (LYCP) Desk Volunteers also joined in on the fun, running their very own LYCP race.

Deputy Principal, Murali Padyachy, praised the learners for their sportsmanship, saying, “It’s wonderful to see our students display such passion and camaraderie. Events like these not only encourage physical fitness but also foster school spirit and teamwork.

Congratulations to all the participants and staff for making the day a resounding success!”
