About a thousand locals, including matriculants of the class of 2024, together with family members & friends, gathered at the Kharbai Engen garage in Laudium, on Monday evening (Jan 13), awaiting their Matric results with much enthusiasm & excitement. There was much anticipation as the countdown began after which hundreds of copies of the Laudium Sun were thrown to the crowd from the upstairs balcony of the garage. The event which was sponsored by local supermarket, Foodline, once again saw a male & female matriculant each winning a voucher of R5K, also sponsored by Foodline, which special matric results edition… were won by students Sahl Tayob from Sutherland High School and Ameerah Mall from Tshwane Muslim School who both obtained university admissions.
The evening programme began with a welcoming address by Ward Councillor Naeem Patel, followed by a prayer. As usual, CIS Principal Manzoor Allimia was the very eloquent emcee for the night. Judge Harshilla Kooverjee addressed the crowd with a motivational talk. Emotions ran high as the students read their results in the Laudium Sun special matric 2024 results edition, with many students sharing their joy and expressing feelings of accomplishment after 12 years of schooling. The Laudium Sun congratulates all matriculants of the class of 2024 for your dedication & zeal in giving your very best during this final year of your schooling career. All the very best for the future. Well done also to the parents & teachers for supporting and encouraging the learners over the past 12 years.
