The long nights of studying, hard work and endless prayers have finally paid off for the Matric Class of 2024, who have made their families and community proud, with their outstanding achievements.
As we celebrate this monumental milestone in the lives of our Matriculants, it is important to acknowledge that success doesn’t come easy and that hard work is essential to reap dividends.
To those who succeeded, this is only the beginning of an exciting new journey into a world of opportunity.
Our own Madiba reminded us, “Education is the most powerful weapon, which you can use to change the world.”
To those who did not pass these Matric exams, do not despair. As Winston Churchill famously said, “Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.” Stay positive, persevere and do not give up.
We extend our thanks to all those who submitted information so that we could compile the list of top Matric achievers that features in this edition of the Laudium Sun. And, we certainly cannot forget a word of thanks to all those educators and parents out there, without whom we would not be celebrating the amazing academic achievements we are today. We say well done and please keep up the good work.

We urge the new grade 12’s to do your best this year. Your Matric year is probably the most important time to be committed and dedicated to your studies at school. With a well-rounded education like the one that you are enjoying, the world can truly be your oyster… so give it your best shot! Make 2025 a year to remember.
