Matric Shining Stars of 2024. Fabulous 5 Distinctions!

Safiyya Akoob (Tshwane Muslim School) of Claudius achieved 5 distinctions in; English HL, Afrikaans FAL, Mathematics, Life Orientation and Life Sciences.
“I am so grateful for the help of Allah (SWT) as well as my teachers, peers & family. Alhamdulillah, I intend studying Dentistry at the University of Witwatersrand.”

Botshelo Masello Latakgomo (Crawford International Pretoria) of Celtisdal attained 5 distinctions in; Mathematical Literacy, Business Studies, Economics, History and Life Orientation.
“I plan to study abroad in Paris, France and I want to study International Business to hopefully bring opportunities by creating my own sustainable business and help others in South Africa to create their own. I want to contribute to cultural bridging by opening myself up to new insights.”

Mahdiya Jaffer (PMT College) achieved 5 distinctions in; Afrikaans FAL, Economics, Computers Application Technology, Accounting and Life Orientation. “First and foremost I would like to thank Almighty Allah, my parents, teachers and all those who have supported me on my journey. I intend on studying BCom Econometrics at the University of Pretoria.”

Zayaan Ebrahim (Tshwane Muslim School) of Erasmia achieved 5 distinctions in; Mathematics, Computer Applications Technology, Life Orientation, Life Sciences and Physical Science. “Most importantly, All praise and thanks are due to Allah (SWT) for His endless blessings and tawfiq, which have led me to this achievement. I am deeply grateful to my parents and brother for their endless sacrifices and constant support throughout this journey. Their duas and belief in me have been my greatest source of strength. I would like to extend my heartfelt appreciation to all my teachers for their continuous encouragement and selfless efforts throughout. May Allah (SWT) continue to guide us all and grant me His blessings and strength as I embark on my journey to pursue a career in medicine, In Sha Allah. Ameen.”

Albert Senzo Khoza (Laudium Secondary School) of Atteridgeville secured 5 distinctions in; Afrikaans FAL, Economics, Business Studies, Accounting and Life Orientation.
“I don’t know what to say. Every Matric learner has the same story; it’s hard work and the grace of God. I plan on studying Accounting Sciences at the University of Pretoria.”

Muaaz Omar of Eldo Village Estate (Sutherland High School) obtained 5 distinctions in; Mathematics, Physical Science, Life Sciences, Accounting and Tourism.
“Alhumdulillah, by the grace of Allah (SWT), I managed to achieve these results. I would like to thank my family for their unwavering support and for all their sacrifices throughout the year.
