Matric Shining Stars of 2024. Fantastic 4 Distinctions!

Aaliyah Akoob (Tshwane Muslim School) of Ansaar Estate scored 4 distinctions in; Mathematics, Computer Applications Technology, Business Studies and Life Orientation.
“All thanks and praise to Allah (SWT), and salutations upon the Prophet (SAW). I am deeply grateful to my parents, family, and educators for their steadfast support and encouragement throughout this challenging year. Their love, sacrifices, and belief in me have been a guiding light and I could not have
achieved this success without them. I am excited to pursue a career in fashion, a field I am passionate about.”

Haafidha Husna Amod (Tshwane Muslim School) of Eldoglen obtained 4 distinctions in; Mathematics, Life Sciences, History and Life Orientation.
“All praises are due to my Creator for the blessings he has bestowed upon me. My achievements would not have been possible without my teacher’s hard work, guidance and dedication throughout my matric year. I am grateful to my parents, grandparents and family for their unwavering support and duas. I intend studying Diagnostic Ultrasound at the University of Johannesburg Insha-Allah. Each
step I take in this career is a step closer to pleasing Allah (SWT), as I dedicate my skills to the service of His creation.

Zaahid Akram (PMT College) secured 4 distinctions in; Life Orientation, Afrikaans FAL, Accounting and Life Sciences.
“I intend on studying Accounting Sciences at Tuks.”

Mohamed Yaseen Sadick (Al-Asr Educational Institute) of Erasmia secured 4 distinctions in; Mathematics, Accounting, Life Sciences, and Life Orientation.
“First of all, I just want to say Alhamdulillah, and Jazakallah to my parents and teachers for their support throughout my schooling life, always supporting me and never giving up on me. I have quite a few university options to consider for the upcoming year, and I will take the next few days to make my final decision, with the most likely option being Biochemistry at Tuks.”

Farhaan Hussain Akhter (Central Islamic School) of Laudium scored 4 distinctions in; Afrikaans FAL, Arabic, Accounting and Life Orientation.
“Firstly, I would like to express my gratitude to the Almighty who granted me the ability to achieve my results. I’d also like to thank my parents, teachers and friends for their unwavering support throughout the year. To the matriculants of 2025, hard work, prayer and dedication always yield positive results. I want to pursue Chemical Engineering or Informatics at the University of Pretoria.”

Romaana Neilon (PMT College) of Pretoria Gardens achieved 4 distinctions in; Afrikaans FAL, Life Orientation, Physical Science and Life Sciences.
“Alhamdulillah I am beyond grateful to Allah for blessing me with a successful matric year. I would like to thank my family, my physics tutor Uwais and everyone who supported me and believed in me along the way. I intend on studying Accounting at the University of Pretoria, Insha’Allah.”

Shifa Mukadam (PMT College) of Laudium obtained 4 distinctions in; Maths, Physical Science, Business Studies and Afrikaans FAL:
“Alhamdulillah! Never did my homework on time, never started studying until the night before, but somehow still made it. I’m so grateful to Allah (SWT) for blessing me with the strength and guidance to achieve this milestone. To my family, your love, prayers, and endless support have been my anchor—thank you for standing by me and believing in me, even when I doubted myself. A heartfelt thank you to my teachers and tutor for your tireless efforts and for always pushing me to give my best. This achievement is not mine alone; it’s ours. May Allah (SWT) bless you all abundantly for being part of my
journey, Ameen. I plan on studying Computer Science at the University of Pretoria.”

Rayhan Wahab (PMT College) of Heuweloord secured 4 distinctions in; Physical Science, Life Sciences, Accounting and Mathematics.
“I got 4 distinctions through the grace of Allah (SWT). The support of my parents and sister and the help from my friends whom I studied with, played a pivotal role in my results. My message to the Matrics is that they shouldn’t let their weaknesses define rather focus on their strengths and perfect it! Also don’t stress too much. In the words of one of my tutors whom I admire, ‘If you believe in God you shouldn’t stress about your future.’ I am ever grateful to Allah (SWT) for blessing me with the capability to achieve what I did. I am also grateful to my teachers as well as my tutors for their guidance.”

“I am so thankful for my amazing parents, Kavie and Mugeshnee as well my younger sister, Varushka, for supporting me, guiding me and motivating me through anything and everything.
