In what has been described as one of the largest funerals held in Laudium, esteemed Islamic scholar, Mufti Abdun Nabi Hamidi was laid to rest yesterday (Thursday – April 3) at the Laudium Cemetery.
The janazah left from the Faizan E Medina Mosque on 5th Ave at 9:45am, proceeding to the PMT Jummah Masjid on Jewel Str, Laudium for the janazah prayer, which saw over 2000 devotees attending. A number of learned Ulama participated in the emotional and heartfelt duas after the prayer, which touched the hearts of those attending, who were clearly emotional in bidding farewell to this great Islamic scholar. Mourners, with tears flowing, carried the body of Mufti Saheb into the hearse, which then proceeded to the Laudium Cemetery for burial.
Devotees from all over the country and neighbouring countries attended the funeral and whispers of fond memories of Mufti Saheb could be heard as mourners made their way out of the Jewel Str Mosque.
