Locally based NPO, Community Youth Forum (CYF), hosted a successful fundraising drive recently, proudly donating money to an orphanage based on Gem Street, Laudium.

The handing over ceremony of R28,000 to the orphanage was held last Thursday (March 27). Mahira Mohammed Ali of the CYF told the Laudium Sun, “The best of people are those who bring the most benefit to others.’– Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him)
The Community Youth Forum is proud to share the success of our recent fundraising event, where we came together to support orphans in need. Inspired by the Islamic values of charity (sadaqah) and compassion, we organized a variety of stalls and activities to raise funds that will make a real difference in the lives of these children. We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed—whether by donating, volunteering, or simply showing up to support our cause. Your generosity reflects the true spirit of our faith, reminding us that helping those in need is a blessing from Allah. Through your kindness, we were able to provide vital support to orphans, ensuring they receive the care, education, and resources they deserve.
‘This event was a testament to the power of unity and giving for the sake of Allah. It demonstrated that when we work together, we can create lasting change in the lives of those who need it most. May Allah reward each and every one of you abundantly for your kindness and continue to bless our community with opportunities to do good.’ We hope to build on this success and continue making a positive impact with your ongoing support. Thank you once again for standing with us and helping us bring hope to those in need. May Allah accept our efforts and multiply our rewards.”
