Spring brings with it a season of new beginnings and Laudium’s Renisha Bhima (pictured holding a beautiful bouquet of flowers, reminicent of Spring) has something extra to celebrate, after being recognised among the Top 100 Influential Men & Women of Gauteng at a prestigious Influential Awards 2026, held recently. Renisha of Emerald Street, Laudium, is the Founder, Principal and Lecturer at the Laudium based Bonalesedi Computer College and was officially screened and selected to represent Gauteng Province at the awards. The awards ceremony was held at Gold Reef City, bringing together influential leaders, entrepreneurs, professionals
and community builders, recognised for making an impact in their respective fields. For the past 13 years, Renisha has dedicated herself to education, skills development and community empowerment through Bonalesedi Computer College. Through the College, she has worked to provide students, particularly young people facing financial or social barriers to education, with opportunities to acquire computer education and digital skills, together with home based care, career development and skills training. Renisha told the Laudium Sun, “This recognition is not just about me. It represents every student whose life has been touched by Bonalesedi Computer College, every person who believed in our vision, our supporters, sponsors, staff and the entire community that continues to stand behind us The award serves as motivation to continue building a stronger future through education and skills development.”
