Various police components from diferent police stations in Tshwane took part in a ‘People With Disability Awareness Campaign,’ this past Sunday (Sept 6) at the Laudium Soccer Grounds.
Sgt Simon Chokoe of the Saps Laudium – Social Crime Prevention Unit told the Laudium Sun, “South African Police Service in the Tshwane District consists of thirty six (36) police stations, including; Saps Laudium, Atteridgeville, Erasmia, Wierdabrug, Pta Central and Pta West.
Different teams from the various stations gathered at the Laudium Soccer Grounds to acknowledge those people with disabilities. The event was hosted by EHW employees, health wellness groups and members from the SAPS Tshwane District.

Different sports activities were performed including: aerobics, tug of war, soccer etc to encourage members to take part in sports in order for them to remain fit and healthy. It was a team building exercise for all the police stations in the District.”
