Valentine’s Day will be celebrated tomorrow (February 14), mostly by those in romantic relationships (or pursuing it), by exchanging gifts, flowers, chocolates and even heartfelt messages. However, love is not only found in giving gifts, but more in kindness, respect, understanding, patience and appreciating one’s partner. The Laudium Sun applauds Manoo (75) and Thakor Pema (83) of Himalaya Heights, Laudium (pictured above), who have been married for an incredible 55 years and are the parents of four children and proud grandparents of six grandchildren. In an age when relationships are often tested by modern pressures, Manoo and Thakor stand as a living example that love, when nurtured with patience, faith, trust and even sacrifice, can indeed endure. May this beautiful couple be blessed with continued health, happiness and many more blessed years. The Laudium Sun wishes our readers a truly romantic Valentine’s Day. Whether you are married, engaged or pursuing a relationship, Valentine’s Day is a reminder that love comes in many beautiful forms. Happy Valentine’s Day.

Pastor Kevin Naicker of the Bethesda Revival Church:
As we celebrate Valentine’s Day, it’s worth remembering that love is more than a moment, it’s a commitment lived out daily. Thriving marriages are built by thriving couples: couples who choose respect over resentment, communication over silence, and perseverance over convenience. Healthy relationships don’t happen by accident; they grow when two people intentionally invest in one another with patience, forgiveness, and shared values. Strong marriages strengthen families, and strong families build resilient communities. In a time when many relationships are under pressure, Valentine’s Day is a powerful reminder to pause, reconnect, and reaffirm the promises we’ve made to one another. Let us celebrate not only romance, but loyalty. Not only passion, but partnership. May this Valentine’s Day inspire couples to nurture their relationships, and may our community continue to be shaped by love that endures. Happy Valentine’s Day to all.”
